On Monday 22 July, the Olympic Flame entered the final week of its journey!
The participation of Richard Orlinski, the world’s best-selling French artist, in the Torch Relay at Évry-Courcouronnes was an obvious choice. Through his collaborations with major houses and famous sporting competitions, the sculptor of champions has repeatedly demonstrated that sport is an integral part of art.
‘Whether it’s football, judo, rugby or tennis, there are bridges between all fields. I try to mix everything: sport, music, art. It’s a virtuous thing. You can’t live without sport these days,’ confided the artist in 2022.
This historic moment will live long in the memory, illustrating that art will have a special place at the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games!
